A Few of My Favorite Things
All of us are oh so busy, aren’t we?! Whether you’re a husband or wife, parent or grandparent, we all have life happening all around us. In this age of technology, it is so easy for us to get everything we need at the click of a button! For me, I absolutely love 2 things: subscription services and auto-ship! Below is a list of a few of my favorite things!
My Favorite Fitness Things
This list is all my favorite fitness toys. They are a time investment that no home gym should be without! (Disclaimer: don’t let my list of toys deter you from working out at home! No excuses!!!)

At Home Indoor Cycle
Schwinn IC2 Indoor Cycle Bike – a great bike if you are in the market for a solid, smooth ride! As a Spinning instructor, I feel obligated to list a home ride here. Just keep in mind that home editions are different from the studio editions. My recommendation comes from the standpoint that you are in the market for equipment like this and not because I think you need to own an indoor cycle!
If you want a bike with a digital component, I recommend Peloton and Spinning bikes. They are on the higher end, but remember, you get what you pay for!
Since Spinning is my heart, that is my bottom line recommendation! The A-1 Spinner was just voted best at-home Spin bike! You can read about the bike here! Happy Spinning!
My Favorite Fitness Toys:
- Wobble Cushion – I’m a fan of anything that puts you off balance. This cushion provides enough room for both feet. I use this when I teach as an intense leg lift or “skinny” squat station.
- Gaiam Stability Ball – no home gym should be without this! It’s great for head to to strength work, core and balance! Also gives a great total body stretch when you’re done working out!
- Glides – push ups, lunges, prone running, oh my! Purchase these and you’ll need nothing more!
- SPRI Xertubes – tubes are great for all strength work and are MUCH cheaper to ship!
- Resistance Bands – same here, strength work.
- Trigger Point Foam Roller – the most important part of your workout is the cool down. This product, IMO, is the top of the foam roller game!
- Stretch Strap – adds some intensity to stretches in targeted areas. I love the loops because it allows my hands to relax, allowing the stretch to intensify as my body allows.
- Water Bottle – this should be first – hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Click for my favorite water bottles!
Remember do not start any exercise program without a full consultation with your medical professional!
My favorite Fashion Things
I started using the personal styling service, Stitch Fix about a year ago, and I have been addicted ever since! Just tell them what you like and what you want to spend and they’ll send you items you’ll love! You can send back what you don’t want to keep for free. It’s really easy. Here’s simply a cute top, great for summer BBQs and nights out at the patio bar! Click here…
My Favorite Fun Things
I signed up for Fab, Fit, Fun as a seasonal member, which gives me 4 boxes per year. I am charged $49.99 per box. The boxes themselves are pieces of art! I re-purpose them as storage and stack as decor or arrange in my closet. Each box is sponsored by a charity. They are filled with full size products relevant to my life. If you like a product, you can order directly from their site. Go check them out and get $10 off with my code.
My Favorite “Face” Things
Dollar Shave Club, they’re not just for men! I absolutely love these razors. For a final win, I don’t have to take time to go shopping to pick up supplies. They ship directly to my door every 2 months. They start you off with a set of their products and you choose from there what you want auto-shipped and when! Shave smarter. Get your risk-free starter set from Dollar Shave Club for just $5 by clicking here!
My Favorite Writing Things
Last, but definitely not least, is my Butterflies and Kisses 6×9 Lined Journal just published! What excites me about this is the picture is mine (please do not duplicate) and holds a dear place in my heart. It is a view of a butterfly on a rose with the waterfalls of the 9-11 memorial in the background. With all bad things come delicate miracles and love! I am over the top excited to share this journal so you can start making change today.
